Explanation of the Eucharist

Recent research has revealed that many Catholics don't believe in the Real Presence of God in the Eucharist. They feel it is just a representation or re-enactment of the Last Supper.

There are many Eucharistic Miracles that prove scientifically beyond any doubt that the Eucharist is in fact the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ.

The Eucharistic Miracle of Buenos Aires is one of these miracles. Pope Francis was involved in the verification of this miraculous happening. For more information, view the video below or select the "eucharist" tab on our home page.

Should you wish to seek further information on Eucharistic Miracles the book "Eucahristic Miracles and Eucharistic Phenomena in the Lives of the Saints" by Joan Carroll Cruz is a good start. This book has the Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur ensuring it to be factual and align with Catholic Doctrine

Act of Spiritual Communion

During this time, the faithful should be encouraged to make an act of spiritual communion. When unable to receive the Eucharist, one can pray for Jesus to enter their heart spiritually, that they may be filled with the graces they miss in the sacrament. A prayer attributed to Saint Alphonsus de Liguori is included below:

My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.

– Saint Alphonsus de Liguori
