6th-8th Grade Faith Formation

Lifeteen EDGE

Wednesdays 6:45-8:15PM

This year, we will be utilizing Life Teen's EDGE NIGHT resources as we take a deeper look into the Sacraments. Each night will include an engaging game, a teaching, small group activities, and an impactful prayer experience. Your Middle Schooler is sure to leave with a deeper faith, a fun experience, and a better relationship with their peers. We will also be incorporating more Family Nights, social nights, and Sacramental nights throughout the school year. Please look at our schedule for the year via the button below.

About this year's middle school topic:  The sacraments encompass a surface reality visible in the physical elements, and when we dive in deeper, we discover a beautiful spiritual reality. We can go through our entire life floating on the surface, never dwelling or venturing in to see the great beauty held by the oceans of grace and mercy there. In this resource, we invite middle school youth to take a breath and dive right in.

This program is designed to draw middle school youth more deeply into their participation in God’s divine life of grace received through the sacraments. By using the sections and petitions of the Lord’s Prayer to provide a familiar starting place for youth, we draw them to engage in a deeper understanding and participation in the sacraments.

FAQ's

  • Why is the meeting time for Middle School and High School longer this year?

Edge Nights require at least 1 hour and 15 minutes to complete. We included an additional 15 minutes to account for extra social time, and transition times between activities. We assure you that it will be worth your child's time!

  • For the "Family Nights," is it required that I attend with my children?

We are desiring for our family nights to include parents as a way of getting the whole family involved in the sacraments and our ministry here at St. Mary's. Some of our nights, parents  (or a trusted guardian ie grandparent, aunt, uncle, sponsor, etc.) will be required to attend with their children.
