9th-12th Faith Formation
Lifeteen LIFE Nights
Wednesdays 6:45PM-8:15pm
This year, we will be utilizing Life Teen's LIFE NIGHT resources as we introduce your teens to a variety of catechetical topics and inspire them through the examples of different saints. Each night will include an engaging game, a teaching, small group activities, and an impactful prayer experience. Your High Schooler is sure to leave with a deeper faith, a fun experience, and a better relationship with their peers. We will also be incorporating more Family Nights, social nights, and Sacramental nights throughout the school year. Please look at our schedule for the year via the button below.
More about this year's High School Program: Football is the most popular sport in America. Every fall, the leaves begin to change, the weather gets cooler, and the jerseys come out. Players across the country from peewee leagues to the NFL suit up and clash on the field. Millions upon millions of spectators root for their teams and get lost in the excitement of the big game. Beyond this, many of our teens have experience in sports, working hard for a goal alongside teammates they have to trust and depend on.
This Life Night Series for High Schoolers aims to draw on these common experiences, using them as vehicles for catechesis. We all know that it takes effort to win on game day, and we recognize that we need the team’s help to reach our goal. As we tackle the topics in this series, we’ll tap into the lives of different saints who serve as examples and inspirations of the content lived out in real human situations and contexts. The saints are our “team” for this semester. We’ll learn from their stories and be inspired by their examples as we move toward our common goal — a deeper relationship with God and one another.

FAQ's
Why is the meeting time for Middle School and High School longer this year?
Life Nights require at least 1 hour and 15 minutes to complete. We included an additional 15 minutes to account for extra social time and transition times between activities. We assure you that it will be worth your child's time!
For "Family Nights", is it required that I attend with my children?
We are desiring for our family nights to include parents as a way of getting the whole family involved in the sacraments and our ministry here at St. Mary's. Some of our nights, parents (or a trusted guardian ie grandparent, aunt, uncle, sponsor, etc.) will be required to attend with their children.
Will Confirmation Preparation take place during Wednesday evening Faith Formation?
ConfirmationNo, Confirmation prep will be completed separately on Sundays after the 10AM Mass and before the 12:30PM Spanish Mass. We will have 6 sessions. This will prepare us for the upcoming change in Confirmation age, and it allows us to focus more intentionally on Confirmation preparation. The diocese is requesting that we remove Confirmation Preparation from our typical Wednesday evening Faith Formation sessions.
