Volunteer Opportunities at St. Mary's
Serving as Missionary Disciples
Christ came "not to be served but to serve."
Serving your parish with your time and talents is a vital expression of discipleship and a powerful way to build up the Body of Christ. Scripture reminds us, “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace” (1 Peter 4:10). Every gift—whether teaching, hospitality, music, craftsmanship, or compassion—has a place in the life of the Church. When we offer our abilities in love, we reflect Christ’s own self-giving and help our parish flourish as a place of worship, community, and mission. In serving others, we grow in holiness and draw closer to Christ, who came “not to be served but to serve” (Matthew 20:28).
Faith Formation
Do you have a desire to folllow Jesus' call to "make disciples"? If so, then volunteering with our faith formation positions may be for you! We have opportunities to teach or assist from ages PreK-Adulthood. Please reach out to cneukam@evdio.org or Kim at kkendall@evdio.org for more information!
Cleaning/Grounds Work
Do you desire a more "behind the scenes" role at St. Mary's? Our many buildings take many hands to maintain. Consider helping with regular/special occasion cleaning or grounds work/ landscaping. Please reach out to kkendall@evdio.org or nwagner@evdio.org to learn how you can get involved!
Hospitality/Environment
Do you have an eye for decorating? Interior design? How to set a mood in a room? If so, please consider helping us at St. Mary's with preparing for and executing events. Music
Do you love to sing? Can you play an instrument? Do you want to learn more about an integral part of our rich Catholic Tradition? If so, please consider volunteering your time and talents to our music ministry at St. Mary's. You could join our choir, become a cantor or accompaniest, or help with our after school music station with our children. Liturgical Ministries
Do you have a profound love and reverence for the Eucharist? Do you desire to learn more about the Mass? Do you feel called to proclaim the Word of God? If so, please consider volunteering your time! Contact kkendall@evdio.org or call the parish office for more information!
Bereavement Support
Do you have a particular sympathy for those grieving the loss of a loved one? Do you have the ability to drop off a side dish in the morning before work? If so, please consider volunteering to help our Bereavement team create comforting and delicious meals after our funeral Masses on campus.
