What is the Journey into the Church?

The Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA), formerly known as the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), is a gradual journey through which adults are introduced to the Catholic faith and way of life. It is a process of conversion, marked by various ritual moments that teach about God's amazing plan of salvation. OCIA is inspired by ancient Christian Initiation practices and aims to dispose catechumens(aspiring Catholics) to receive the gifts of God in Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist.
